Pallet Packs
Pallet packs are basically boxes on pallets, the difference
is how they are attached to the pallet. The pallet pack
comprises of a 4 way entry pallet , base tray which
usually has a 100mm lip, a corrugated cardboard box
sleeve which has concertina creases into it so it is
collapsible, and a corrugated cardboard cap with a 100mm
lip that fits over the corrugated cardboard tray. The
material used is usually a mixture of conventional double
wall corrugated cardboard board usually a 300K/300T
"BC" double wall for the tray and cap, the
sleeve can be in the same corrugated cardboard box material
,or in a heavy duty corrugated cardboard box material.
Construction of the corrugated cardboard box material
for the pallet pack is usually tray and cap has stitched
corners, with the corrugated cardboard tray stapled
so as to fix it to the pallet top, the corrugated cardboard
sleeve is stitched together and folded down inside the
tray, and the corrugated cardboard stitched corners
cap is fitted over the tray.
Usually the corrugated cardboard pallet packs are made
to suit a particular product so not many standard sizes
of pallet packs are produced as every body's products
are different. The corrugated cardboard box sleeve can
come with a drop down opening on it, for easy loading
and unloading.
The covpak pallet pack is a system where the corrugated
cardboard box part slips into a holding tongue on the
pallet which holds into place, the starpac pallet pack
now goes one stage further and with the use of Velcro
fixings the box stays fixes to the pallet base better
located.
Corrugated cardboard pallet packs can be good for export
packing, shipping material
between factories or having a re-uasable corrugated
cardboard pallet pack. The corrugated cardboard pallet
packs to increase their strength can come with a plywood
fold down sleeve, or we can attach timber posts to the
corners of the sleeve to enable the corrugated cardboard
pallet packs to be stacked up to four high.
The corrugated cardboard pallet packs can come with
polystyrene fittings, etha foam, fittings, also we make
corrugated cardboard divider sets which divide the sleeve
packing area into a number of individual packing cells.
This method of export packing stops products from coming
into contact with each other, and can also aid the stacking
strength of the sleeve or box.
On the pallet pack base instead of a wooden pallet
base we also make a polystyrene blocked base which can
have a dramatic reduction on weight especially useful
when sending the corrugated cardboard pallet packs by
air.
A corrugated cardboard pallet base can also be made,
which is especially useful when coming to dispose of
the pallet pack once it has reached its destination.
